A set of brief presentations about astronomy and night sky observing will be featured at the May meeting of the Saint Louis Astronomical Society.

Each topic will be presented by a member of the Saint Louis Astronomical Society. Each section will be an introduction to one facet of astronomy, planetary sciences, cosmology, or night-sky observing with binoculars and telescopes. Planned topics include types of astronomical objects, with some examples of their night-sky locations, a presentation on "grab and go" telescope observing and an overview of superstring theory and its role in setting the structure of the universe.
